Manchester United youngster, Amad Diallo, has spoken about his decision to represent the Ivory Coast.
The 18-year-old, who signed for United from Atalanta in January, received a call up to the nation’s senior side in March.
Diallo has already played three times for Ivory Coast, scoring against Burkina Faso earlier this month.
Asked on Instagram by a fan why he chose to play for Ivory Coast, he replied: “Because you grow up in your own country before you grow up in another.”
Amad will be hoping to gain further playing time at United next season, after he was on the periphery of the first team last season.
