On loan Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa could be heading back to the English Premier League with newly promoted side, Wolverhampton Wanderers showing interest in signing him ahead of the new season.

According to reports from Turkey, Wanderers who are returning to the elite league next season after a six-year absence have reportedly made an offer for the attacking midfielder who has regained his form since joining CSKA Moscow of Russia on loan in January.

With six goals to his name from 15 matches, Wolves see Musa as one of the players they will be counting on to remain in the top flight.

But they must battle Turkish sides, Galatasary, Besiktas and Fenerbahce who are also interested in his services.

Moving to the Molineux Stadium will afford Musa the opportunity of hooking up with national teammate and goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme who is recuperating from acute leukemia.   Ikeme was Wolves first choice keeper before he took ill.

With the Nigeria team, he is one of the players expected to make the World Cup final list in Russia next month, except he is injured.

Musa became Leicester’s record buy in 2016 when he cost them £16.6m from his current loan club CSKA Moscow and made 32 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions last season.

But he featured only once for the Premier League club this term before returning to Russia.
