2018 Has Been A Fulfilling Year For Me – Balogun

Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has described the just concluded year as a fulfilling one for him.

Balogun who has not been a regular for Premier league side, Brighton that he joined from German Bundesliga side Mainz05 during the summer last year, however remains grateful that he was able to end the year on an injury free note.

It’s been a very challenging but overall exciting and a happy year that has made some of a little boy’s biggest dreams come true.

There have been some obstacles that I had to overcome, however reflecting back most of them turned out to be blessings in disguise,” he tweeted.

A key member of the Nigeria senior national team, Balogun was happy to have accomplished his dream of featuring at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Nigeria.

Ahead of the new year, Balogun will be looking forward to his maiden outing at the Africa Cup of Nations.
