2019 AFCON: Weather will be hot in Egypt –Rohr

Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has warned that the weather in Egypt venue of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations  would be hot. 
The leadership of Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday morning picked Egypt ahead of South Africa as the host country to replace disqualified Cameroon who were the initial host.
Rohr had told SportingLife.ng exclusively that naming of the new host will determine where his team will finally camp for the continent’s biggest football tournament.
The Eagles Manager has now disclosed that his team’s camp venue must be hot compare with Egypt that would be naturally hot between June and July this year.
The Franco-German Coach is due to arrive Nigeria soonest to have a serious discussions with the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation as regards the plans and programs for the team to have a fruitful participation in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Melvin Pinnick recently vowed to be fully involved in the all the plans,  logistics and programs of the Eagles for the team to have a successful participation in 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
“We will speak with the NFF about where the Super Eagles will camp for the final preparations for the AFCON.
“Also the climate will be  hot in Egypt. The players must be very fit. Several places in Egypt (where the tournament will be played) could be interesting”, Rohr disclosed to SportingLife.ng.
