Rivers Hoopers‘ Head Coach, Ogoh Odaudu, has expressed confidence that his team is poised to improve on their performance from last year’s Basketball Africa League (BAL) Season 5.
The Hoopers will kick off BAL Season 5 by facing Stade Malien in the Kalahari Conference opener in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday, April 5th.
The defending Nigerian champions, who have been in closed training camp for two weeks, arrived in Rabat on Wednesday in preparation for Saturday’s opening game.

Speaking on the team’s preparations so far, the BAL season four Coach of The Year said, “Training has gone well so far. We’ve been working very hard for the past two weeks, and we’ve made tremendous progress.”
Rivers Hoopers made history as the first Nigerian team to secure a podium finish at the BAL, clinching third place last year.
