Sportinglife.ng understands that the high profile match has prompted the Nigeria Police Force to draft the high number of its officers to the stadium.

“Atletico Madrid is a big team and we have to guarantee their safety before during and after the game.
We want soccerloving Nigerians and visitors to enjoy the game in a peaceful atmosphere devoid of
infractions,” an official said.

Atletico Madrid are the fourth European side that will be visiting Nigeria after Arsenal, Manchester United and Portsmouth who all played in Abuja against sides from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The match will kick off at 6pm Nigeria time
