Players, officials, visitors as well as Nigerian fans planning to be at this year’s World Cup in Russia have been warned to be extra careful at the football’s showpiece owing to threats from ISIS who are planning to unleash bombs by using drones.

Reports revealed that the terrorists are plotting to send suicide bombers into stadiums on flyboards while videos and pictures posted on encrypted app Telegram detailing the extremists evil plans to murder players and fans.
According to the report, images showed extremists believed to be returning to Russia from Syria and Iraq building weaponised drones. Several shots are taken from a drone camera of bombs being dropped on to a target.
Elad Ezrachi, of internet surveillance firm Sixgill, has warned that that the threats should be taken
seriously. Ezrachi said Isis began using armed drones in Iraq and Syria in early 2017.
‘There is no doubt that this technology, if used by Isis in terrorist attacks at the World Cup, can lead to catastrophic results.’
The drones that ISIS are planning on using seem to the cheap kind normally used by filmmakers. The plans suggest that these everyday devices will have deadly bombs attached to them.
The report claimed that the Russian secret service is believed to be preparing for attacks after fears that both Isis and al-Qaida will send “sabotage groups”. The Federal Security Service said it thwarted atrocities at the 2016 Confederations Cup, seen as a dry run for the summer showpiece.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn in Group D alongside Croatia, Iceland and Argentina beginning from June 14 in Russia. Nigerian fans are expected to be in Russia to give maximum support to their darling team.
