Falcons’ defender wins Cyprus league with Barcelona Women

Barcelona Women FC which parades Nigeria defender, Ngozi Ebere have been crowned Cyprus Women’s league champions after hammering AMOK Chrysomilia 10-1 on Sunday.

This will be the first ever silverware for the Cyprus side who went the entire season unbeaten.

Speaking with SportingLife.ng, Ebere said it was an honour for her to be crowned a winner. “Ending the season without losing a match is really remarkable and l must bless the Almighty God for strength to go far,” said the player.

With the victory, Barcelona will play in the UEFA Women’s Champions league next season.

The left back who joined the Cyprus side this season from PSG Ladies in France played all matches for the side, scoring six goals.

She will be in action this Friday when the Super Falcons take on their France counterparts in an international friendly.
