The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been tipped to be fully ready for this year’s World Cup holding in Russia by the time the remaining three International friendly matches and the final phase of camping are concluded.

The First Vice-President of the Nigeria Football Federation Barrister Seyi Akinwumi disclosed this to Sportinglife.ng while also clarifying that the venue of the much publicized International friendly match between the Eagles and DR Congo slated for Nigeria has not been decided.

The Eagles’s handler Gernot Rohr had told SportingLife.ng that Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom would host the friendly. He was however quick to add that would depend on the state of pitch which must be in condition.

“Considering the preparations so far for this year’s World Cup, I would say the Eagles are 75 to 80 percent ready for the competition. The remaining 20 percent is bonding which I am quite sure that the three weeks of final phase of Camping for the World Cup would help achieve that with the remaining three International friendlies”, Barrister Akinwumi disclosed this to SportingLife.ng.

The football administrator believed that ” in terms of abilities, I think the team is good and I am confident about the team”, he assured.
