Nigeria’s senior Men’s national basketball team, D’Tigers have vowed to beat Scotland to salvage their image after they have been bundled out of medal contention at the Commonwealth Games.
D’Tigers were mauled 97-55 by the host country, Australia in their final group game on Monday and would face fellow weeping boys Scotland in a classification game on Tuesday .
Speaking after the Australia game,D’Tigers Olalekan Olatunji said the team must to beat Scotland.
“We’ve got to play together and we’ve got to play hard.The most dangerous person is someone that hasn’t got anything to lose and we don’t have anything to lose.So, we’ve got to come out hard against the Scottish”
The team had earlier lost to New Zealand and Canada.
