Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has revealed that the team would first camp in Abuja before playing their friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo at a venue to be decided by the Nigeria Football Federation in May.

The Eagles’ Manager disclosed that the friendly match against their Africa opponents is very important to his build up towards the finals of the 2018 World Cup and wouldn’t like any hitches at all.

He is aware that the NFF are yet to agree on a venue for the match. This has made him to fly into Abuja next week to be fully involved  with the decisions  concerning the match.

The Franco-German Coach has often told SportingLife.ng that two things were important concerning the Eagles’ friendly match. The first is fielding a strong team that would make fans happy and enjoy the game. Secondly, Rohr wants the friendly to be played on a lush green good grass pitch that would make the players play good football and the fans also enjoy the match.

“Normally we are camping in Abuja. I will check next week in Nigeria about training conditions  (pitch ) and stadium for the match against Congo”, Rohr disclosed this to SportingLife.ng.
