Maikaba boasts: No hiding place for Al Hilal

Akwa United technical adviser Abdu Maikaba is confident of overcoming the 2-0 deficit suffered in the hands of Sudanese side Al Hilal, when both sides clash in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.

“In football, nothing is impossible I don’t have to go into history. Ask Barcelona, ask Real Madrid. On both occasions, the underdogs held sway, ” Maikaba said.

“We respect the Sudanese, they were established over 88 years ago and are perennial CAF Champions league Campaigners, yet in Uyo, we are sure they will meet their Waterloo.”

Whoever wins would progress into the group stage of the competition.

Wednesday’s match is slated for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo at 4pm.
