Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu grabbed his third goal for Hapoel Be’er Sheva who had to come from behind to draw Hapoel Haifa 2-2 in the Israeli top flight on Sunday evening, SportingLife.ng can report.

Searching for their 20th win of the season, Beer Sheva fell behind in the 29th minute when Alon Turgeman opened scoring for the visitors and Ben Basat adding the second 21 minutes later at the Turner Stadium.

The visitors appeared to be coasting home to victory until the 70th minute when Ogu struck to reduce the deficit and in stoppage time, an own goal from Basat enabled both sides to share the points.

This would be Ogu’s third goal this term in 23 appearances from 29 matches.

He was on for the whole 90 minutes unlike teammate and compatriot, Anthony Nwakaeme who was replaced by Isaac Cuenca after the first half. Nwakaeme has scored seven goals.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva who have only lost 3 matches and drawn 7, still top the standings with 67 points from 30 matches.
