Former Flying Eagles captain makes Belgium Team of the Week

Former Nigeria junior international, Addul Ajagun has been named in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League PlayOff II Team of the Week following his performance against Lierse SK last Saturday.

 

Former Nigeria junior international, Addul Ajagun has been named in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League PlayOff II Team of the Week following his performance against Lierse SK last Saturday.

Ajagun, who captained Nigeria to the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, scored one of the goals in Kortrijk’s 2-0 win after spending 57 minutes on the pitch.

The attacking midfielder who is in his first season has scored five times for the Belgian side who are currently seventh on the standings from 30 matches.

Since moving to Europe in 2013 from local side, Dolphins of Portharcourt, Ajagun first pitched tent with top Greek side Panathinakos, making 62 appearances and scoring 10 goals, before joining Dutch side Roda JC on loan.

While with Roda, he was named in the Eredivisie Team of the Week,  for a getting a brace in the club’s 3-1 win against Sparta Rotterdam in 2017.
