“The most amazing thing is we went to the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia with only 6 (six) athletes
and all won medals. We won 4(four) gold and 2 (two) silver medals while we broke the Commonwealth Games record in the female event. This is a rare feat but I believe we can do more”, Uboh disclosed.

The hard working Para-Powerlifting Federation President declared, “the 2020 Paralympic Games is what we are focusing on now. We have nicknamed my federation as the Unstoppable and Golden Federation. So we are ready for the 2020 Paralympics.

“But we are begging the Federal Government through the Honourable Minister of Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung to grant us the permission to go to the 2020 Olympics with our full team. We want to go to the competition with at least 17 athletes.

” The reason is that we are fed up of winning gold medals as world champions. At the 2020 Paralympics Games we want to win the Trophy and break more world record”, Queen Uboh boasted.

The Para-Powerlifting Federation President personally compensated the four gold medals with the sum of N100,000 each while the two silver medallists got N50,000 each and their Coach smiled home with N100,000 too besides what they got from the Ministry of Sports.
