Injury scare for Ndidi

Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi was forced off the pitch after getting injured and watched as Leicester City were thoroughly beaten by English Premier League side Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The midfielder who was brought out in the 51st minute for treatment by Leicester’s medical staff had to be replaced by  Aleksandar Dragovic after it became obvious he won’t be able to continue the game.

Saturday’s game was Ndidi’s second after returning from a 2-match ban and it remains to be seen if he would be available for the Foxes in their next fixture which is against West Ham on Saturday.

“Final change for Leicester after Ndidi picks up a knock. Dragovic is on. It looks like Maguire has moved into central midfield, wrote Leicester on their Twitter handle.

The seriousness of the injury would be confirmed in the coming days after the player would have undergone a scan.

This will be a concern to Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr who has been in regular touch with his players on their fitness level ahead of this year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
