Kano Pillars technical adviser Ibrahim A. Musa has decried Heartland FC for its delay tactics during Sunday’s matchday 19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano

He stressed that they could have scored more goals if their opponents opened the game.

Two goals from Junior Lokosa in each half gave the Sai Masu Gida all the three points.

But in a chat with SportingLife.ng, Musa who admitted that Heartland was a good side, however kicked against their style of play which he said does not fit modern football.

“Heartland is a good side if they really want to play good football. They didn’t come here for results because they didn’t allow the game to be played. They came here with to play delay tactics, even when they possessed the ball they still played backward. It was the same thing when they played free- kick.Their pattern was not good for football. If they had opened the game we could have scored more goals,” Musa said to SportingLife.ng.

“It was a good game for us and we could have scored six goals. In the first half we had so many scoring chances but we missed it and managed to score only one goal in the first half.

During the half time, I talked to the boys that we could not afford to be wasteful if we really want to win big. We
experienced missed chances in the second half too but we scored the second goal and I am happy we won.”
