It will be a brutal fight- Durodola on Włodarczyk showdown

Former world cruiser-weight champion, Olanrewaju Durodola has told anyone that cares to listen that his
upcoming fight with Krzysztof Wlodarczyk of Poland will be a very brutal fight.

Durodola will face Wlodarczyk at the G2A Arena, Rzeszow in Poland Saturday night and this will be his
first fight since losing the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Cruiser-weight title to Russian
Maksim Vlasov in February.

“I know who Włodarczyk is, but I am ready. The Pole punches hard, but I do not lack strength. It is
better to let him be ready for strong blows, because whenever the opportunity arises, I will knock him
out. It will be a brutal fight, “said Durudola.

The 37 year-old Nigerian became famous after a successful win against the then undefeated Dmitry
Kudryashov in Russia in 2015.

For Włodarczyk, this showdown with Durodola might be the last chance for the two-time former
cruiser-weight world champion to mark his presence in the cruiser-weight division.

The 36 year-old Pole, who has 54 wins in 59 fights and has lost just four fights and drawn one said: “I
know I have to win now. Failure will mean the end of dreams of returning to the world’s top”.

“I think I’m in good shape, all the preparations have passed without major injuries, and that’s
something,” Włodarczyk added.

Włodarczyk held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) title from 2006 to 2007, and the WBC title
from 2010 to 2014.

Durodola, an inspector with the Nigerian police has won 27 fights, 25 of them by knockout and has lost
five times.

Durodola is currently ranked 14th by the WBC while Włodarczyk is ranked 12th by the IBF & WBC.
