CAF CONFEDERATION CUP: Enyimba ready to switch home games

Enyimba are looking at the prospect of returning back to the Adokie Amiesiamaka Stadium, Port Harcourt
for the remainder of their campaign in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup a source close to the team has
informed SportingLife.
The People’s Elephant had used the same stadium for their continental engagements in 2016 when they
featured in the CAF Champions League group stage and SportingLife has been briefed that the team is
poised for a return having decided to leave Calabar their supposed home ground since the latter part of
2016-17 season.
The reason for Enyimba’s decision to opt for Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium has not been established by our
correspondent but the club is presently camped close to the Adokie Amiemaka Stadium ahead of their
CAF Confederation Cup Matchday three tie with Williamsville AC of Cote d’ Ivoire on July 18.
It is not known where the seven times league champions will play their remaining league matches whether
it is the same Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt or the Enyimba International Stadium which the
stadium’s turf is ready but there are still work to be done on the other facilities at the stadium.
Enyimba have been denied the usage of their natural home ground since the early part of 2016 because of
the dilapidated level of the stadium but the Abia State Government under Okezie Ikpeazu is working
round the clock to put the stadium in order and Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction Company owned
by Ebi Ezekiel Egbe has been tasked with that.
