Lionel Messi in Shock Fallout With Pique, Others

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly had a shock fallout with one of his teammates following the Blaugrana’s poor form.

According to El Chiringuito de Jugones, there has been a breakdown in the Argentine’s relationship with defender Gerard Pique.

The pair have reportedly been at loggerheads over the club’s recent form, with the team having failed to win their past three matches.

It has been claimed that Pique feels Messi runs away from media duties when things do not go his way, something the Spaniard feels he should not be doing as captain of the side.

The defender is said to believe that his colleague only faces the press when he is representing his country.

Meanwhile, Messi has apparently made his frustrations with Barca’s defence known to Pique, who is the most experienced player in the back-line.

The recently retired Spain international and the Argentine came through the Blaugrana’s famous La Masia academy together, and are known to be close friends, which is why many would shrug this off as two teammates simply being honest with one another.

However, it has been claim the pair are furious with one another, to the point where they may not even be on speaking terms.

The Catalan club will take on Tottenham Hotspur away from home in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, where a win will certainly boost Barca’s confidence going forward.
