AFCON 2019: Pharaohs promise to make fans happy after President’s visit
Pharaohs of Egypt have pledged to do their best as the seven-time Africa champions eye continental glory at the Africa Cup of Nations which begins on Friday.
The players made the promise when the country’s President, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi visited the team during training.
According to a statement signed by the President’s spokesman, Bassam Rady the players promised El-Sisi they will do their best effort to make Egyptians happy.
Egypt was granted hosting rights after winning a majority of votes in a January meeting of the executive committee of the Confederation of African Football.
