Abraham entered the record books after his brace against Norwich last Saturday which ended 3-2 to give the Blues their first win of the season.

“Tammy Abraham (21y 326d) is the third-youngest player to score twice in a Premier League game for Chelsea, after Mark Nicholls v Coventry in January 1998 (20y 225d) and Eddie Newton v Tottenham in December 1992 (20y 358d). Bracing. #NORCHE,” read a post on Opta’s twitter handle.

It was Abraham’s first league goals with the Blues that he joined in 2004 before he was sent out on loan to Aston Villa.

For the Nigeria born midfielder, both goals were a welcome relief after he was criticised for missing his penalty against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup.
