Nigeria vs Benin: Rohr may start Rangers star from the bench
Glasgow Rangers star, Joe Aribo, may start today’s match against Benin Republic from the bench, as part of Gernot Rohr’s plans to outwit the West African neighbours in the AFCON 2021 qualifiers in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
Nigeria head coach had hinted that he was not sure of playing the wonder kid when he came into the Eagles camp on Tuesday.
“Aribo travelled all night long from London to Lagos and then arriving now,” said Rohr to journalists.
“And if Aribo is fit, of course, now he is one of our key players. If he is not, I don’t want to take any risks for injuries and we can decide in the last moment if he will start the game or not,” Rohr added.
Nigeria has all the players in their training sessions for the game. They are in top shape, looking forward with determination to destroy the might of Benin Republic.
