Injured Iwobi will return to action in 2020–Ancelotti 

Alex Iwobi is set for a spell on the sidelines with the hamstring injury he sustained against Arsenal on Saturday, according to Everton boss Carlos Ancelotti.

Ancelotti who watched from the stands as the Nigerian limped off the pitch after spending 15 minutes on the pitch is expected back in three weeks’ time.

“Alex Iwobi is not going to play in the next games,” Ancelotti told evertontv.

“He is going to rest for two or three weeks, then start [training] with the team.

The Italian provided an update on the status of his players ahead of its premier league clash against Newcastle on December 28.

Ancelotti has twice worked with his players since he was officially unveiled on Monday.
