Barcelona candidate: Neymar has told us he wants to return

Barcelona presidential candidate Emili Rousaud has declared PSG star Neymar wants to return to the Nou Camp.

Josep Maria Bartomeu’s former institutional vice-president presented his manifesto as part of his Els Millors Al Barca bid on Thursday.

“He’d like to return to Barcelona, his representatives have told us,” Rousaud said of Neymar. “A transfer can’t be done; Barcelona don’t have the financial capability now. It will be when his contract expires.”

Neymar’s deal at Paris Saint-Germain has another season and a half left to run, though his earnings are extortionate.

“We’ll ask him to retract his demands,” Rousaud continued. “Talented players have to play in a big league.”
