Ajax win 20th Dutch Cup, eye double after UEL exit
Ajax Amsterdam won the Dutch Cup for the 20th time on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Vitesse Arnhem in Rotterdam days after exiting the Europa League.
The triumph also kept them on course for the league-cup double.
Erik ten Haag’s side have 72 points from 28 games with six to play while PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar have 61 points.
On Sunday, Ryan Gravenberch gave Ajax a 23rd-minute lead before Arnhem levelled seven minutes later through Lois Openda.

However, Arnhem were then reduced to 10 men when Jacob Rasmussen was red-carded in the 86th minute.
Brazilian David Neres hit the winner in stoppage time.
