Italy coach Mancini: Switzerland will give us a tough match

Italy coach Roberto Mancini says they’ll be going for the win against Euro 2020 opponents Switzerland.

Mancini wants to secure a place in the knockout stages as soon as possible but said the match against the Swiss will provide another big challenge for the Azzurri.

“The match against Switzerland will be a difficult game, they are an excellent team with many players who knows how to play,” Mancini said.

“Their coach is experienced, we expect a very tough match.”

Mancini also delivered an update on PSG midfielder Marco Verratti’s fitness.

“Verratti has been training with the group for three to four days. Let’s see, there are still two training sessions left and there’s still time to understand a few things.”
