Afrinvest commits to further partnership with Rangers

The major shirt sponsors of 2023/2024 NPFL champions, Rangers International F.C of Enugu, Afrinvest West Africa Ltd., has affirmed that it will extend its partnership with the champions as they target a progressive campaign in next season’s CAF Champions League slated to commence in August 2024.

Dr. Ike Chioke, the Group Managing Director of the financial investment institution, made this known at a media briefing in Enugu on Monday after landing with the victorious team in the Coal City to celebrate the club’s triumph in the tightly contested NPFL season 2023/2024.

A highly elated Dr. Ike Chioke praised the efforts of management, coaches, players, and backroom staff for their doggedness in challenging other teams and beating them to the trophy just under one year of his company’s partnership with the club stressing that it was a sign of bigger things to come from the partnership.

“When in October 2023, we signed documents for this partnership, we desired to take Nigeria football to the next level. I am as shocked as everyone that we are already celebrating a big trophy like the NPFL title within the first year of the partnership. I want to congratulate the G.M. and his lieutenants as well as the Enugu state government ably led by Dr. Peter Mbah for all the support extended to the team. This trophy is a foundation for growth and from here we can take Nigeria football to the next level. For us at Afrinvest, we are very committed to Rangers and remain steadfastly behind them as they go to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League,” stated the G.M.D of Afrinvest West Africa.

A company that has shown serious commitment, Afrinvest West Africa. The GMD of the company, Dr. Ike Chioke, has not just supported us financially but with every motivation needed to push the team to the success we celebrate today. Our major shirt sponsor, Afrinvest is an ambitious company just like Rangers and we are glad that they are willing to extend the partnership as we go into the continent to challenge the likes of Al-Ahly of Egypt and their likes. We thank them for this gesture.”

Enugu State Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Barr. Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu, who stood in for the executive governor of the state, Dr. Peter Mbah, in his opening speech at the briefing, congratulated Rangers and Afrinvest for the partnership that saw the club reclaim the league title it last won in 2016 while assuring that everything would be done by the government to ensure that the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium meets the standard expected for continental matches.
