Ex-internationals such as Victor Agali and Ifeanyi Udeze were present to grace the finals of the 14th edition of FC WAMCO held at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, maker of premium brands – Peak and Three Crowns milk concluded its annual tournament, FCWAMCO games at the weekend.
It would be recalled that the tournament kicked off on Saturday November 2, with a football match.
Competing teams comprise of departmental clusters with names fashioned after the pillars of the company’s nourishing strategy, namely; Purpose Driven, Commercially Obsessed, Owners Mindset and Win Win.
The 2019 FCWAMCO Games is the 14th in the series and seeks to promote a culture of physical exercise amongst employees as a complement to the rigours of daily work routines.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of this year’s edition, Ben Langat, Managing Director FrieslanCampina said that such competitions should be encouraged among other private sector so as to help boost the development of Sports in the country.

On his remark on the just concluded event, he said, “Every year we hold FC Wamco Games for all our staffs to participate and create a good working environment. As an organization and a nutritional company we try to make sure our people are very fir, so this is the purpose of this game. There are many games that have been played like football, tennis, and all. You see that there are many spectators and children as well, so when they come here and see their parents keeping up active, they also will want to be active.
