Agoye praises 3SC after crucial win

Shooting Stars head coach, Edith Agoye has lauded the performance of his players who recovered from their first game loss to beat Delta Force 2-0.

Delta Force were the better team in the first half and they could have been at least two goals up if they had not been wasteful In front of goal but they paid for their profligacy in the second half when the Oluyole Warriors netted twice.

Ayobami Junior got the curtain raiser in the 55th minute before Opeoluwa Olufemi scored the ‘insurance’ goal in the 90th minute.

Agoye in his post match chat disclosed that he felt happy that they got the much needed victory and he praised his boys for their predatory instinct in front of goal in the second game unlike the first when were wasteful against Bendel Insurance and subsequently lost 3-0.

“I feel better despite the loss yesterday. It was game on today and we won 2-0,” Agoye told the media.
“We are very happy . It was like we were out yesterday but today we have another leg inside,” Agoye told the media.

“Our game is to dominate the opponents we face but Delta Force were a very technical side and while playing against them one must do so with restraint. We were very happy we were able to match them skills for skills and techniques for techniques and at the end of the day we utilized our chances.

“We are going to play our final game with all we have while hoping that we are going to get the result that will take us to the NPFL.” 3SC are on three points from two matches.
