Aguirre: I dropped Salah, others for Eagles tie

Pharaohs of Egypt head coach, Javier Aguirre has reiterated that his desire to watch other players of his team play made him to overlook Liverpool striker, Mohammed Salah and other notable players out of their two games with Niger Republic and Nigeria.

 

The Pharaohs played out a 1-1 draw against the Menas of Niger in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier which qualified them for a place in AFCON which they are hosting while finishing in the second spot behind Tunisia with 13 points from six games and they face the Super Eagles today in another friendly tie.

Speaking with journalists in Asaba Aguirre disclosed that he is using both matches to test new players ahead of the AFCON competition which they are hosting in June.
