Ahead Euro 2020 qualifiers: I will fight for my shirt–Abraham declares 

Tammy Abraham has vowed to fight for a place in the England national squad ahead of their Euro qualifying matches against Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

“Back then in 2017, it was all about me being young,” he told Standard Sport.

“It was a good experience, for me. So, to be going back now, I had my experiences out on loan, I’m back
and now it’s time to stay here.

“For me, it’s a massive achievement [to be in the squad]. I’m clearly doing something right for my club to get attention from Gareth Southgate. It’s about going out there, helping the team as much as possible. And then coming back in and doing the same job for my team.”

The 22-year-old joined up with Gareth Southgate’s squad at St George’s Park on Monday after scoring his ninth goal for Chelsea against Southampton which they won 4-1.

Abraham’s last call-up to the national team was in 2017 which was a friendly.
