Ahmed Fresh: Don’t write off Enyimba in 2nd leg

The Nigeria Football federation Technical Committee Chairman Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has expressed confidence that Enyimba Football Club of Aba will reach the final of CAF Confederation Cup despite loosing the first leg, semi-final 0-1 to visiting Raja Casablanca  of Morocco at home.

Fresh while chatting with sportinglfe said the Nigerian representative (Enyimba)  is capable of up turning the 1 goal deficit within the first stanza of return leg with focus, determination and team spirit .

“For me I see Enyimba winning the return leg. What we have to do now is to pray and support the team. The team for now is Enyimba of Nigeria and we must collectively support them because Nigeria need the trophy as part of 58th Independence celebration.  I have absolute confidence in the team and I know the players will not disappoint us”.  Fresh said

He also revealed that the federation will assist the team in terms of logistics and other areas needed to enable the them perform well in the 2nd leg.

“We know they will play against crowd in Morocco knowing the nature of North Africians when it comes to club football but we will mobilise Nigerians in Morocco to  support the team. If they can beat us here at home we can also beat them in their home.

“Football is about luck and taking advantage.  In Aba, Enyimba played well but fail to take the few chances  that come their way but the opponent (Raja Casablanca) took the chance they got to score the  alone goal.”.  Said the Technical Committee Chairman.
