Aina becomes third player to pull out of Nigeria, Brazil friendly due to injury

Torino of Italy defender Ola Aina has pulled out of Nigeria’s international friendly encounter against Brazil due to injury billed for October 13 in Singapore.

“Just in: Torino of Italy wing back Ola Aina is out of Sunday’s international friendly against Brazil. He picked up an injury after a domestic accident and will not be available. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,”reads a tweet on the official Twitter handle of the Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday morning.

He becomes the third player to withdraw from the game after Leganes of Spain defender Kenneth Omeruo and Girondis Bordeaux of France winger Samuel Kalu for the same reason.

Lack of time may not permit head coach, Gernot Rohr to replace Aina who featured in last month’s friendly against Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena.

The game will will kick-off at 1pm Nigerian time.
