Aina Doubtful For AFCON Clash after dropped for Torino, Chievo match

Torino defender Ola Aina may not be available for Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Seychelles after picking up a knock during the pre-match warm up ahead of Sunday’s Seria A clash against Chievo.

The Nigeria defender had to be replaced with Cristain Ansaldi after he was initially listed for the match by Torino manager, Walter Mazzari. The match ended 3-0 in favour of Torino courtesy of goals from Andrea Belotti, Tomas Rincon and Simone Zaza.

Ola who has been quite impressive for the Seria A side since joining on loan from Chelsea should undergo scan today to know the extent of the injury.

So relevant has he been to Torino, that the club is considering buying him on a permanent basis ahead of the next season.

He has played 22 times season and has a goal to his name.
