Alaba Exit : Chelsea, Real Madrid on red alert

David Alaba has announced he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season setting alarm in the camp of his numerous suitors.

The 28-year-old has already been linked to both Manchester City, and more strongly Real Madrid, over the past few months as he looks for a fresh challenge after what could be his tenth league title.

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could enter the race to sign the defender, with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel likely to be very aware of his talent in several positions.

While Alaba has confirmed his intention to leave, he has not yet decided where he will play next season.

He said: “I have made the decision to leave Bayern at the end of this season and try something new.

“It obviously wasn’t an easy decision – I’ve been here for 13 years and the club means a lot to me.

“I haven’t decided where I’m going next.”
