Alex Iwobi pleads with Nigerians for forgiveness

Alex Iwobi says he is gutted with the Super Eagles display in their African cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone on Friday evening.

Iwobi netted a brace, but it counted for nothing as the Super Eagles went on surrender their four goals lead and settle for a draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin-City

The Everton forward described the results as disappointing in a social media post moments after the game and pleaded that the team will work hard to put things right in the subsequent games.

“Deeply Disappointed, we’ll Work To Put Things Right,” he said.
