Amputee Eagles get visas after surviving auto accident

Members of the Amputee Eagles who were involved in a road accident while on their way to Abuja on Monday have been issued entry visas to attend the 2018 Amputee Football World Cup holding in Mexico from October 24.

The team were issued entry visas by the Embassy of Mexico on Tuesday after arriving the Federal Capital Territory in the wee hours of Tuesday, following the accident that occurred along the Lokoja-Abuja expressway. Several of the players sustained minor injuries but no life was lost.

The team is expected back in Lagos to continue with their preparations before traveling for the tournament.

Meanwhile the team’s plight has continued to generate sympathy from the public who have been lambasting the  Federal Government through the National Sports Commission for not making any adequate provisions for the players.
