Amuneke dreams Nigeria, Tanzania clash at AFCON 2019

Ex-Nigeria International, Emmanuel Amuneke has lauded the Super Eagles for the victory against Libya as the Tanzania national coach is already dreaming of a Nigeria and Tanzania clash at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

In an interview with Brila Fm, Amuneke said facing the Super Eagles would be a welcome development for Tanzania.

“I am happy with the way Nigeria played Libya despite the little mistakes in the team , It will be very good if we can meet in the AFCON or be in the same group but of course the journey is still far, it will be very interesting to
play against each other in Cameroon,” said Amunike.

He also went further to appreciate the endless support of the Nigeria Fans who ceaselessly assisted the Super Eagles with their chants and noise both in Uyo and Tunisia.

“I also want to give my sincere appreciation to fellow Nigerians for their endless support and help which contributed partly to the Eagles victory, May God continue to empower them all,” Amuneke told Brila fm.

Nigeria’s next fixture is against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on November 17 at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg that will determine the team that will top the group to qualify for the finals.
