Angry Abu Azeez reacts on Sand Eagles World Cup squad

Sand Eagles star Abu Azeez took to social media to show his disappointment after the team’s defeat by Oman on Sunday, which means Nigeria are out from the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

The Nigerian team lost 5-6, but their performance was below par and there was no team chemistry during the loss to the lowest-ranked team in the tournament.

Azeez uploaded pictures of former stars Isiaka Olawale, Ogbonnaya Okemiri and Ikechukwu Ibenegbu with a short message: “No need to talk sef.”

Although he failed to offer any explanation, the tweet appears to be a dig on the composition of the Eagles squad members, with most players marking their debut at the World Cup.

Interestingly, months before the World Cup, Azeez decried the poor of Beach Soccer in Nigeria.
