Angry Chelsea fans hang a banner reading ‘Circus continues’

New Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel aka Mr T & T may have to work very hard to warm himself into the hearts of some Blue fans still lamenting over sacking of Frank Lampard.

Aside from initially insisting on “In Frank We Trust” banner, the disappointed fans have come up with another banner hung at the gate of Stamford Bridge just before Mr T & T tests his first match against Wolves.

Irate Chelsea supporters have made their frustrations know after Frank Lampard became the 10th boss to be sacked under Roman Abramovich by hanging a banner outside one of the entrance gates at Stamford Bridge which reads ‘circus continues’.

Club legend Lampard was dismissed by the Blues on Monday morning after just 18 months in charge, with the club since announcing former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel as his replacement.

And while the club felt the decision was necessary given their torrid run of five defeats in their last eight Premier League games, some fans appear less convinced and have protested outside the stadium.

The supporters hung the banner on the Bovril Gate on the southern side of Stamford Bridge, while blue smoke bombs were also let off as fans let their anger at the decision to sack a club legend be known.

The picture has emerged just hours before German boss Tuchel’s first game in charge of the Blues at home to Wolves, with the club currently sat 10th in the Premier League table.

Tuchel – who had been out of a job for four weeks after being sacked by PSG around Christmas – took his first training session on Tuesday and is now tasked with closing the 12-point gap with league leaders Manchester City.
