Aribo not focussing on title talk for Rangers

Joe Aribo has heard the noise from supporters and felt the excitement from his family and friends this term.

But the midfielder insists he won’t lose his focus in the coming weeks as the Rangers set their sights on the Premiership title.

Aribo said: “What we need to do and what is important for us is to take every game as it comes.

“Of course we were a bit slack but we know that we have to put it right and give the performance that we can to get the three points.

“We are just focusing on every game as it comes, we can’t look at what is going on anywhere else. That is just a distraction to us.

“We just have to be focused on the job that is set out on a match day.

“I have spoken with my family a lot. My brother gives me grief when I have not played well and he congratulates me when I have.

“It is always good to have that factor because sometimes you need to see it from another person’s perspective. It is nice to get that feedback.

“I wouldn’t say it is harder to keep the focus because we know what we need to do on every single match day and that is to win.

“As long as the focus doesn’t change then you can’t let things out of that disrupt you and distract you.”
