Aribo’s ex-coach rubbishes Leicester, Aston Villa interest, says he’s going nowhere!

Glasgow Rangers forward Joe Aribo is settled at Ibrox.

Leicester City and Aston Villa have been eyeing Aribo for the January market.

However, his old coach Mark Fabian believes he’ll stay with Rangers. Fabian coached Aribo in non-league at Staines Town with the 25-year-old moving on to Charlton Athletic in 2015 and then Rangers four years on.

“I’m not surprised there is huge interest in him. I always thought he’d end up in the Premier League one day,” Fabian told the Daily Record. “But speaking to him not long ago I know he’s really happy at Rangers.”

Fabian did concede that a move to the Premier League if one was in the offing, would be hard for Aribo to decline.

“Obviously his contract at Rangers has 18 months to go and there might be a decision to be made by him and his club,” Fabian added.

“It might be hard to turn down a big move to the English Premier League, when you think about the incredible money that goes with it.”
