Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea (6 – 5 on penalties): Iwobi decides shootout

• Moses, Abraham play as substitutes

Super Eagles duo of Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi played as substitutes in Wednesday’s international friendly game for Chelsea and Arsenal in a game which the Gunners won 6-5 on penalties after regulation time.

Iwobi scored the winning penalty as Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea in the International
Champions Cup.

Alexandre Lacazette fired a last-gasp equaliser to send the clash to spot kicks.
Lacazette converted fellow second-half substitute Reiss Nelson’s cross at the far post in the final
minute.
Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi was the star of the show, laying on a string of chances, but it was
Arsenal who finished strongest and Lacazette snatched a deserved leveller.

Both sides produced a perfect set of five penalties each to send the shootout to sudden death.

But Ruben Loftus-Cheek, back with the Blues squad after a short holiday, saw his kick saved by Cech and
Alex Iwobi converted for Arsenal to secure a 6-5 victory.
