Arsenal hit by 14-day quarantine rules for Gabriel

Arsenal face a potential nightmare scenario in their pursuit of Gabriel.

The Lille defender is weighing up offers from Arsenal and Napoli, with both clubs agreeing a fee with the Ligue 1 club.

Manchester United are also making a late run for the Brazilian, however, Arsenal are still the favourites.

But the Gunners will have to contend with a potential 14-day quarantine period when Gabriel arrives in England.

Anyone flying to England from France is obliged to spend 14 days in self-isolation under government legislation.

And according to football.london, Premier League clubs will be given no exemptions to these rules.

This means Gabriel would have to wait 14 days before conducting his medical at London Colney.

Similarly if the club’s medical staff flew to France they would also have to quarantine for a fortnight.
