Arsenal set to land Bayern Munich star for £12.8m
Arsenal are keen on a £12.8million January swoop for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, according to reports in Germany.
Boateng has started less than half of Bayern’s Bundesliga matches this season, and is has been reported that he wants to leave the club in the winter window.
Arsenal are in the market for a new centre back following Calum Chambers’ season-ending injury, with RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano one potential suitor.

Boateng is seen as a cheaper alternative as Mikel Arteta finds his feet at the club, though, and Sky Sports Germany report that talks have begun over a potential move for the 31-year-old.
The Germany international is no stranger to the Premier League having spent a year at Manchester City before his move back to Germany in 2011.
