Arsenal vs BATE Borisov: Iwobi set for rescue mission

Super Eagles mercurial midfielder, Alex Iwobi will bid to save Arsenal from elimination in the Europa League when they host BATE Borisov tonight at the Emirates.

However, Coach of the North Londoners Unai Emery will be banking on Iwobi to rescue the team from the pain of elimination and the Nigerian is up for the challenge. The 22-year-old posted a picture of himself training under the watchful eyes of Emery and captioned it: “Willing to learn.”

The game will also mark the return of Alexander Hleb to Arsenal, with the playmaker having enjoyed a spell with the Gunners between 2005 and 2008 before moving to Barcelona.

Arsenal are one of the favourites to win the Europa League and the competition looks like their only realistic chance of winning a silverware this season following elimination from the Carabao Cup and FA Cup while they sit fifth in the premier league with 50 points, 15points adrift leaders Manchester City.
