Arsenal’s win a good Xmas gift–Iwobi

Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi has taken to Twitter to express his delight at his side’s 3-1 home win against Burnley in their English Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Iwobi who has come under severe criticism from fans lately scored the Gunners third goal after just spending 13 minutes on the pitch.  Iwobi had Mesut Ozil to thank for, as he laid the pass for the goal.

” Early Christmas🎄 ,”read the tweet.

For Iwobi, celebrating the win became necessary following Arsenal’s two consecutive defeats last week at the hands of Southampton and Tottenham Hotspurs which ended their 22-match unbeaten run this season.

Gabon forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired a brace for the Gunners in the game.

Despite the win, Arsenal remain fifth, though they are level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea after Maurizio Sarri’s side were beaten at home by Leicester City.

The Gunners finish 2018 with Boxing Day tie against Brighton and Hove Albion and a visit to Anfield to take on table-toppers Liverpool.
