Aubamyang backs tweet lashing teammates after 3-0 defeat

Gabon international and Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang liked a tweet appearing to criticise his team-mates after their 3-0 re-start demolition by Manchester City.

The forward was part of the Gunners side that lost 3-0 on their return to Premier League action.

Aubameyang led the line on his own but could not find the net for a second consecutive game, putting him on 20 goals for the campaign.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Real Madrid and Barcelona both interested in his signature.

And his response to football.London’s latest activity on social media has got fans worried after working hard for Mikel Arteta’s side with no results.

The forward liked a tweet from the writer, who wrote: “Once more Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang led Arsenal (and Man City) in interceptions. He did everything asked of him on defence but didn’t have the guile behind him.

“He’s running himself to the ground for Arsenal and that feels like bad news.”

And the Gunners faithful believe it is a sign that Aubameyang may not be wearing the famous red and white strip for much longer. “He is definitely off,” one supporter said.

“Imagine being a 30 goal-a-season striker having having to play with trash like ‘[Mesut] Ozil and [Granit] Xhaka in midfield and David Luiz and [Shkodran] Mustafi at the back.”

But Aubameyang has been sent a transfer warning by his Gabon international manager Patrice Neveu about staying in north London.

“He also knows how to exploit the qualities of attack partners to create holes and opportunities.

“If Steven Zhang and Antonio Conte put him at the top of the list, I have no doubt that Conte himself would turn him into a real machine.
