Award winner Jamilu Collins: Eagles wants to win AFCON  for Nigerians 

Super Eagles and SC Paderborn 07 of Germany left back Jamilu Collins has assured football loving Nigerians that they are eagerly waiting for the commencement of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations to make the country proud by winning it.
Collins who warned that it won’t be easy achieving this target if theirs also vowed that he and his colleagues are aware of how tedious it would be to emerge winner in Egypt.

‘I like the rest of my teammates in the Super Eagles are really preparing hard for the Nations Cup in Egypt. I personally and I am sure that my colleagues can’t wait to make our country proud by eventually winning it”, the Eagles first choice left back disclosed to SportingLife.ng from his base in Germany.
Speaking of his award that he won in his club recently Collins expressed happiness for winning his first ever award as a professional football player.
“I won this award for being a national team player playing for my club. Its a good feeling and I am very proud and happy about it. This is my very first award in my career since I started playing football and I thank God for this”, Collins disclosed.
The Germany based defender however praised Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr for giving him the chance to exhibit his talent in the national team which has now reflected in his high ratings by his German club.
“Coach Rohr believes in my talent and I am very grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to play for one of the best teams in Africa and in the world the Super Eagles of Nigeria. He teaches me new things which I used to develop myself in the game today. He is more than a coach to me, he is a leader and a father whom I adore and grateful to”, Collins told SportingLife.ng.
The Eagles left back also revealed his closest pals in the Eagles. “My closest pals in Eagles are Samuel Kalu, Henry Onyekuru and Moses Simon”, he disclosed.
